Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Jay Scott Coaching uses cookies and similar technologies on jayscottcoaching.com (the “Site”). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how it's used. We also use similar technologies such as pixels and local storage, which we refer to collectively as “cookies” here.
Your Choice
If you visit from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask before setting any analytics cookie, and none is set unless you accept. Everywhere else they are on by default. Wherever you are, you can change your choice here at any time:
Essential Cookies
These are needed for the Site to work and stay secure, so they cannot be switched off.
- Visit (jsc_sid, 30 minutes). A random identifier for your current visit. It keeps automated spam off our forms by confirming a real browser is present, and groups the pages of one visit.
- Region (jsc_region, 1 day) and your cookie choice (jsc_consent, 180 days). Whether we need to ask you about cookies, and your answer.
- Bot protection. Cloudflare Turnstile on some forms.
Analytics Cookies
These help us understand how the Site is used. None is used for advertising.
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Aggregate traffic and usage measurement.
- Microsoft Clarity. Heatmaps and anonymized session recordings that show how visitors interact with pages.
- Returning browser (jsc_vid, up to 400 days). A random identifier for our own visit counts, so a returning browser is not counted as new.
- How you found us (jsc_attr, 90 days; jsc_last, 30 days). The link, campaign or site that first and most recently brought you here, and the page you landed on. If you contact us, it tells us which of our links work. It holds nothing that identifies you.
Vercel Web Analytics also measures page views, and sets no cookies.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by the third-party services we use (Google, Microsoft, Vercel, Cloudflare). These providers process data under their own policies. Booking (Acuity) and payment (Stripe) pages may also set cookies when you use them.
Browser Settings
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work. Because cookie choices are stored per browser and device, you'll need to set your preferences on each one you use.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools or the law change. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
