Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Jay Scott Coaching (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through jayscottcoaching.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you give us. When you submit the application or contact form, book a call, or request a free resource, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and anything you write in the message field.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical and usage data, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring links, and how you interact with the Site (clicks, scrolling, and session activity).
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we're a fit to work together.
- To schedule and manage calls, sessions, and coaching engagements.
- To send you the resources, updates, or communications you requested.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site and understand how visitors use it.
- To meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Service Providers We Use
We rely on trusted third-party services to run the Site and our practice. Each processes your information only as needed to provide its service, under its own privacy terms:
- HubSpot: customer relationship management, contact and inquiry records, and email communication.
- Acuity Scheduling: booking and managing calls and sessions.
- Stripe: payment processing. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
- Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager: aggregate traffic and usage measurement.
- Microsoft Clarity: heatmaps and anonymized session recordings that show how visitors interact with pages so we can improve them.
- Vercel: website hosting and performance analytics.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: bot and spam protection on form submissions.
Our Own Site Measurement
Alongside the services above, we keep our own record of visits to this Site so we can see which pages help and where visitors come from, without sharing that with anyone else. For each visit we store the page addresses viewed, the site or campaign link that referred you, the approximate location (country, region and city) your browser reported, your browser and device type, screen size, language and time zone, and how long each page was open and how far it was read. Two randomly generated identifiers, held in first-party cookies, let us recognise the pages of a single visit and a returning browser. The visit identifier also keeps automated spam off our forms. The returning-browser identifier is an analytics cookie: if you visit from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, it is only set if you accept analytics cookies.
We do not store your IP address, we do not use this information to identify you personally, and it is never sold or shared with third parties. If you contact us or book a call, the visit is linked to your inquiry so we know how you found us. Records are deleted after 12 months.
Cookies & Tracking
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics, session measurement, and to remember your preferences. If you visit from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask before setting any analytics cookie. Wherever you are, you can turn analytics cookies on or off at any time on our Cookie Policy page, which also lists each cookie. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how parts of the Site function.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, when required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, and property or those of others. If the business is transferred, your information may be part of that transfer.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described here, including for the length of any coaching relationship and a reasonable period afterward, or as required by law.
Your Choices & Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we will honor those rights as applicable.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site means you accept the current version.
